What you’ll achieve
Manages and coordinates supply chain activities across multiple teams and geographies. Performs as the Program Manager for all procurement functions necessary to set-up, forecast, procure, and deliver materials for factories. Develops and maintains relationships with cross-functional development and sustaining teams. As an Advisor Supply Chain, you will work closely with other product group function team, like marketing, engineer, quality, operation team to develop DELL Desktop product and develop supply chains for new and existing products. You will be responsible formanages global system product transitions to minimize excess and obsolete material. Coordinates activities globally to prevent material shortages and react quickly to material shortages. Works with regional demand teams to plan pre-production and production materials. Partners with Global Commodity Managers for product sourcing decisions. Represents procurement on product development teams to ensure “design to value” analysis is done throughout product lifecycle and help manage/reduce supply chain complexity.

You will:

·Conducts and/or manages strategic supply chain analysis and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis

·Works closely with other functional areas to develop supply chains for new and existing products. Manages global system product transitions to minimize excess and obsolete material and coordinates activities to prevent material shortages

·Partners with Global Commodity Managers for product sourcing decisions and represents procurement on product development teams to ensure “design to value” analysis is done throughout product lifecycle. Drives supply chain cost reduction initiatives and manages/reduces supply chain complexity

·Provides procurement expertise to ensure optimized supply chain strategies and business plans are in place for assigned products and to ensure best cost and continuity of supply

·Leads World-Wide Procurement and regional extended teams to ensure risk mitigation plan is in place for any identified supply chain risks. Manages supplier to Global Inventory Control Policy and responsible for domestic and international delivery processes

Essential Requirements
•8 to 12 years relevant experience
•Excellent understanding of global supply chain, manufacturing footprint and logistics capabilities.Very strong program and project management skills
•Advanced supply chain management expertise, negotiation and supplier evaluation skills
•Deep market research knowledge, as well as a sound understanding of business goals and current industry trends

Desirable Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree
