Software Engineer Summer Intern
In this position you will be responsible for developing test software for Client products at Dell Technologies. Specifically, you will be part of a software team developing test diagnostics that will be used to validate the quality of various Dell Technologies Client products. This opportunity offers a wide breadth of experiences and a dynamic work environment. It will offer opportunities to build on your current experience and develop critical skills needed to succeed in a leading technical environment.

What you’ll achieve
As a Software Engineer on our team you will work alongside other engineers developing test diagnostics to validate the quality of our Client products. The teams are very dynamic and provide a great environment to learn new skills. The position will also allow you to grow professionally by being part of an outstanding technology company and gaining valuable real-life experience.
You will:
- Be assigned a specific software project within the team with goals and deliverables.
- Be an integral part of the software team reporting on your project status and working through issues.
- Provide project updates to team or group allowing you to build on your presentation skills.
- Interface with electrical engineers, manufacturing, quality and test engineers to ensure the successful development and launch of new test diagnostics.

Essential Requirements:
- Software Engineering field of study with some familiarity with hardware designs.
- Prior experience of study in embedded system design using micro-controllers, analog and digital system design; and knowledge of the scripting language like C/C++, Assembly, or Linux programing.
- Python programming experience.
- The candidate should exhibit high levels of motivation, and the ability to quickly and thoroughly learn new and complex topics.
- Fluency in English and good communication skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience working with IDE tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio.
- History of developing application software using Python and C#.
